A69 Architects

The A69 – Architekti architectural studio has worked on dozens of projects and implementations all over the Czech Republic and is the proud holder of several prestigious architectural awards.

The A69 Architects studio was founded in Cheb in 1994 by the then-fresh graduates of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT), Boris Redčenkov and Prokop Tomášek, who were joined by architect Jaroslav Wertig three years later. In 2000, the studio- which had been operating until that time as the association Atelier 69 – Architekti, opened in connection with its work on the Villa Park Strahov housing complex a new office in Prague and in 2003 the association was transformed into the A69 – Architekti, s.r.o. company. The most famous and significant projects by A69 that deal with urban projects, public space revitalization designs, housing complexes, family houses, and other projects hallmarking the characteristic style of the studio, are Dr. Peták's Spa and Wellness Complex, and the connecting hall of the Pawlik Hotel in Františkovy Lázně, both of which received prestigious awards in the Grand Prix Obce Architecktů contest. In international contests, the studio was awarded for its Central Park Praha project and a hotel at Národní Třída, among others.
