Kunstkomora

Located in Lesser Town is Kunstkomora, a wildly intriguing gallery and boutique that offers a splendid collection of rare objects and art from all around our diverse globe.

Kunstkomora – where collecting is a form of art in itself features a massive collection of rare antiques that range from all backgrounds such as archaeology, natural history, geology, religious relics, and more. The objects presented at this whimsical antique gallery and boutique are carefully selected from every corner of the world, some of which date back more than two thousand years. If you wish to spend some time in the city center of Prague exploring the exotic world of ancient cultures, Kunstkomora is the place for you whether you wish to simply observe the mysterious objects in the shop or if you are looking for a special object to fill a specific place in your own antique collection, or for an interesting decoration for your home. It is of interest to note that Kunstkomora’s collections are inspired by the ideas of Rudolf II’s Renaissance Wunderkammer, the Kunstkamera of Peter the Great, and many other kingly collections (Wunderkammer and Kunstkamera translate to art room, cabinet of curiosities, etc.). The interior of the boutique is welcoming and soothing with gray walls and subtle lighting, ensuring that you will want to spend some quality time there perusing the great objects. The antiques and exotic objects presented at the gallery are only a small part of the entire collection and if you are interesting the gallery has several catalogs you can look through to get a better idea of the grandeur that is Kunstkomora. It is also interesting to note that the store organizes a yearly auction of Asian antiques. The shop is open every Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., or by private appointment if you so wish.
